Apparel Design

About the program

Apparel Design is a rigorous program of study. You’ll gain design skills and knowledge in areas of the fashion industry from the concept of the product, through development and production, to marketing. Following are some of the areas included in this program:

Major Requirements

You are admitted to the apparel design option once you notify the department of your intended major.

To remain in the major, you must complete a portfolio review process during the spring semester of your second year.

If you are a transfer student and have have completed two years of college, you may submit an application during the summer prior to the first semester of attendance at WSU for consideration.

To complete this degree, you must maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and receive a C or better grade in all AMDT courses. A course may only be repeated once. Courses required in these programs cannot be taken on a pass, fail basis.
