Students majoring in the Department of Apparel, Merchandising, Design and Textiles experience the dynamic interface between design, merchandising, and consumer aspects of the apparel and textile industry. Students with a degree from our program are well prepared to enter this profession. WSU has the only state-supported Bachelor's and Master's degree program in Washington.
AMDT offers degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Students select one of the following options in which to major:

Within this department, students delve into design and aesthetics as well as the functional, social, cultural, economic and production aspects of apparel and textile products. Apparel, merchandising, design and textile professionals anticipate and make innovative decisions for constant change with regard to the needs of the global marketplace.
