McCoy is an interdisciplinary visual artist, graphic designer, fashion designer, fashion model, and sustainability focused leader who is currently attending WSU to obtain her Master of Science in AMDT. She was born and raised in Olympia, WA where she built her skills in the arts and business, both influenced by her parents who ran a small home business and her mother who is an interior designer. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Washington in the Honors Interdisciplinary Visual Arts Program. She explored various career options, which included makeup artistry, art teaching, and school age childcare. Her spare time included hobbies such as fashion modeling for companies such as Zulily, runway modeling in Seattle, creating wearable art, and photography. Her experience as a fashion model in Seattle inspired her to further her education, specifically in the textile and fashion industry, where sustainability has become a great focus.
